Our Vision

Our student ministry vision is to partner with families to help students KNOW CHRIST and MAKE HIM KNOWN.

Our Values

Belonging | We want each student that walks through our doors to feel known and valued. We want them to know that within our group, there are both students and leaders who care about them and notice when they don’t come.

Celebration | Through worship and life change, we desire to help students understand God’s love for them.

Growth | Our ministry aims to help students learn how to study their Bible, see how the Gospel is practical in everyday life, and have a personal relationship with the Lord.

Fun | When students walk into our ministry, we want them to enjoy themselves, have a good time, feel comfortable, be with friends, and make memories.

Connect Groups

Hope Building | 11 am-noon | Middle and High School

We believe every student needs a small community of consistent friends and leaders that are challenging them to connect with God, a biblical community, and a caring adult so they can develop an everyday faith. Our student ministry accomplishes this through Connect Groups -- a small biblical community where students can be themselves, share doubts, ask questions, and admit struggles. These small groups are led by caring adults who desire to see each of their students KNOW CHRIST and MAKE HIM KNOWN.

ELEVATE

Hope Building | 6-8 pm

ELEVATE is our mid-week worship gathering for students! Pastor Alan Gotthardt leads our Middle School worship gathering and Pastor Tim Johnson leads our High School worship gathering. Their messages are constructed to minister to students and challenge them to impact those around them for Christ. Our worship time is led by our Student Worship Team.

Senior Recognition 2024

Ready or not, graduation is right around the corner! The Sherwood Student Ministry Staff is so excited for our seniors who will be graduating this year, and we want to honor and recognize this exceptional achievement. As a student ministry, we have multiple ways that we want to celebrate with you and your family, and we hope you will be a part of it!

Important Dates to Remember
April 7 | Last Day to Submit Senior Photos / RSVP for Senior Dinner
May 5 | Senior Recognition Sunday (during the 9:30 am service), Luncheon in the Fellowship Center at 12:15 pm

Summer Camps 2024

June 10-14, 2024 | Panama City Beach, FL
ELEVATE Camp is focused on the mission of seeing a generation of students who KNOW CHRIST and MAKE HIM KNOWN. This summer, our middle and high school students, along with their leaders, will come together for four days of worship, teaching, and community. And let's not forget, these fun, four days are spent on the beautiful shores of Panama City Beach! This is a week students don't want to miss!
